Parte domani il cantiere per il restauro di Fontana Trevi
Where is the one place any visitor to Rome must go? Why Trevi Fountain of course! As throwing three coins in the fountain promises a return trip to the Eternal City.  The beloved fountain will be undergoing some changes however, but have no fear, it will still be open to the public.

According to Italian news agency ANSA, restoration of the beloved fountain began last week and should continue for the next 18 months. “A walkway above the central portion of the fountain will allow visitors to catch a better glimpse of ongoing work. Water will be drained during the process, but tourists will still be able to cast their coins for luck in the fountain immortalized by numerous movie stars, including a frolicking Anita Eckberg and Marcello Mastroianni in Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita,” the agency reports.

The Trevi restoration is being sponsored by Fendi. Also undergoing a facelift in Rome – the Colosseum whose work is being sponsored by Tod’s.
